Any business entity flourishes best, based on the location it is set-up with. CGCC is blessed in abundance, considering this, for it’s a mere 30 minute drive from the heart of Cochin. CGCC is centrally located to all the major nodal points, including air, road, rail and even the Metro rail. This may help reduce the time taken to reach here, as time is money for all the guests, especially to those who come here for business networking and social interaction. Not only CGCC provides ample space for meetings and networkings, it also welcomes guests who are in desperate need of a getaway from their busy job lives. People can spend their leisure hours and also all types of sports activities, (indoor, outdoor and even water-related sports) when they visit CGCC. With the proximity to the airport and the emergence of Golf Tourism, the Golf Course will be an International tourist destination attracting golfers from all around the globe, to our little town named Kakkanad. IGU certified coaches are employed so as for the guests, who are in a beginner-level to learn the basics of the game.
The construction was planned as an extensive Two-Phase design, and when completed, the course will play to a length of over 7430 yards. The second phase included a Driving Range and a Golf Academy, which will then again help spread the game to more people.
Five large lakes covering sixty seven thousand square meters adorn the landscape providing exciting challenges to golfers and a treat to the environmentalists. The vast body of water has also thrown up options for aqua culture and water sports The water bodies filled in by storm water during the monsoon not only supports the elaborate irrigation system but also acts as a source to recharge and maintain the water table in adjoining areas benefitting the surrounding communities.
The course has many unique features. CGC is a challenging all weather championship course that caters to all skill levels of golfers and the design philosophy of the course is based on Risk and Reward. It is the first course in the country to offer an Island green named General's creek on the 18th Hole, and the first course in Kerala to boast a 18-Hole course.
